Q. How long has JJ Staten Homes been in business?

JJ Staten Homes has been building new and custom homes for 35 years. We have been building homes
throughout our families generation.

Q. Is JJ Staten Homes Certified, Insured and Licensed?

Yes. We are fully Licensed, Insured, Bonded and Certified. We are also Certified in the use of SNiPER for
Chinese Drywall remediation in Florida.

Q. What are your hours of operation?

Our hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Please feel free to contact us anytime.

Q. How do I tell if I have Chinese Drywall?

There are several tell tale signs that your home has corrosive Chinese drywall. These signs include:
blackened mirrors, blackened fixtures, air conditioning (evaporator coil) failure and corroded wires
(this can be checked by opening a light outlet to check the tips of the copper wires for corrosion).
Chinese drywall also emits a sulfur smell as well, and you may also notice an odor of a burnt match.

Q. How long is the remediation process?

Currently, if you are part of the KPT Settlement agreement and opt for them to remediation, the entire
process will take between 12 – 18 months. The remediation process with JJ Staten homes takes between 2.5 – 5
